Tracing sheets: hiragana, katakana, 한글 and 注音
For parents of preschool and Year 1 children learning to write. Pick the rows to practise; each letter gets a model, three grey copies to trace and empty squares. Free, no sign-up, prints on A4, JIS B5 or Letter.
How to use it with your child
- Choose Hiragana, Katakana, Hangul or Zhuyin, then tap the rows to include.
- Choose how many empty squares each row gets.
- Choose A4, B5 (JIS) or Letter and tap Print sheet. Seven letters fit on each page.
- Sit with your child for the first few letters. Kana sheets number each stroke on the model; for hangul and zhuyin, show the order on the model letter.
Which school years it suits
Ages 4–6 and Year 1: hiragana before katakana in Japan, 자음 and 모음 before syllables in Korea, and zhuyin in the first weeks of Year 1 in Taiwan.
About the letter shapes
The sheets use the school-style fonts your device already has (for example UD デジタル 教科書体 on Windows, Klee on Mac, 標楷體 for zhuyin), and an ordinary font where there's none. Stroke-order numbers will come later.

Questions parents ask
Do the sheets show stroke order?
For hiragana and katakana, yes: the model letter is drawn from KanjiVG's strokes (CC BY-SA 3.0) with each stroke numbered where it starts. Hangul and zhuyin aren't in KanjiVG, so please show the order on the model letter.
Can I print a whole set at once?
Yes: tap every row you want, and the sheets continue over as many pages as needed.
